Highlights Accessible on All Plans

  • All plans come with unlimited campaigns and entries.
  • Facebook tab integration.
  • Built-in random winner selection.

Or you can buy all four of their apps from $97 – $997 / month.

Plan Limitations

There are a lot of limitations to their plans as you move up tiers. I find their pricing structure a bit confusing and overcomplicated. If you don't pour through the feature set with a fine tooth comb, you might overlook a feature that you think you're getting but actually only comes with a higher plan.

Examples of a few things that are limited to the higher plans:

  • API Connections with e-mail marketing services.
  • Removing the Gleam.io branding.
  • Landing page customizations.
  • Leaderboards.
  • Video embeds.
  • Custom CSS.

Does Gleam.io have built-in e-mail marketing?

No they do not. You'd have to sync with another e-mail marketing service like Aweber to send automated e-mail follow-ups. They do have a built-in e-mail featured called “Promote E-mails” but all that allows you to do is notify people of your future giveaways. You can't use it for sending marketing or follow-up e-mails.

Overall thoughts on Gleam.io

Pros: Their software seems super simple to use for the end user which is great.

Cons: The pricing structure doesn't work for me. I want many of the features that only come with the higher plans, like the ability to customize my landing pages, e-mail marketing integration, leaderboard, etc. For my needs, I'd rather have ALL the features up front on every pricing tier, and pay more for a different variable such as number of entrants. You may be different and appreciate their free or small tier plans which could satisfy your needs for an inexpensive basic giveaway.
